Biography

Dr. Younsuk Dong is an Assistant Professor and Irrigation Specialist in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University. He earned all three of his degrees from Michigan State University and leads the MSU Irrigation Lab, which focuses on advancing sustainable water management through research, Extension, and technology development. His work integrates sensor networks, geophysical survey techniques, computational modeling, and artificial intelligence to improve irrigation efficiency, water quality, and agricultural sustainability. His scholarly program develops innovative tools and decision-support systems that enhance water use efficiency and promote resilient agricultural production systems.
